[TriLUG] 3com card network connector replacement

i was really impressed with the out-of-box, or rather out-of-ftp-download, experience with Red Hat Linux v8.0.  they've come a long ways since v4.2 with that manual partition hair-pulling-out-can't-get-my-nic-to-work stuff.
 
now, i've got to learn how to use it!
