[TriLUG] hardware question - IDE problem

check the jumper settings on the devices, dell tends to set them to CS (cable 
select) instead of master or slave.  whatever they are set at, switch them 
around.  and make sure you don't have both devices set to master or slave if 
they are on the same IDE channel.
