What's funny is that the reason for e-voting, because people are too lazy
to go to the polls, is defeated by the fact that to truly enable secure
e-voting would be more work than going to the polls.

A secure system would have to use some sort of "key" technology, and
creating and keeping the key secure would be harder for the average Joe
than going to the polls.

I speak somewhat from experience: I have non-geek friends who believe that
getting PGP added to their systems is "too much work" (even with the free
download, easy installer and plug-ins).

Just a thought.
