Looking for an inexpensive IDE RAID card for use in a windows pc in mode 1. Linux support a plus. Are IDE RAID cards decent these days in terms of reliability? In mode 1 if a drive went to toast would the the system stay stable or do you have to remove the ailing drive first? Browsing SIIG and Promise Technology now.... Thanks, bp
