In a worse case scenario you can always boot off the CD you used in the
install.  Normally you boot the CD and then type "rescue".

Also, when you boot your machine, you should get either a list of boot
options (like safe boot), or you should get a pause that lets you type
in your own boot parameters, like: linux -single
