[TriLUG] console messages about packets

I changed my default runlevel from 5 to 3 on my RH 8 box. Now that I'm not
using the graphical login, I notice these odd packet messages showing up on
the console. Usually some variation of (my ip X'd out):

IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=00:50:da:c3:64:10:00:06:2a:ce:18:54:08:00 SRC=217.19.74.159
DST=XX.XXX.XXX.XX LEN=78 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=101 ID=12625 PROTO=UDP
SPT=1026 DPT=137 LEN=58

I can log in fine, they're just ugly and annoyingly breaking up my command
line when I'm typing.
I know it's a kernel message, it is being written to /var/log/messages also,
and
#kern.*	/dev/console
is commented out in /etc/syslog.conf. What am I missing that I need to set
to turn those off ?
