FWIW, when I was talking to our Red Hat account rep last week, I 
mentioned that I think Spot's work should be more officially supported 
by Red Hat to the point that RHAS is available & supported on sparc.  I 
can't go into detail about why our shop needs it in a public forum like 
this, but it would be an attractive alternative to some of the stuff 
we're doing that isn't well suited to x86 hardware (32 vs 64 bit 
pointers, I/O bandwidth, etc)
