Well, I like my Sony PCR-DC100 a lot, but I don't think you 
can get it anymore.  What I like about it, though, is the fact
that it's not much bigger than my hand.  Also, in addition to
video, it does stills too (onto a memory stick).  

It really depends on what you want.  You can always get better
features by spending more money. :-)  I don't know anything
about the Canon's others have suggested, but I *really* like
my Sony.  You can see an example of some stuff I've done with
it at http://www.trilug.org/~lovelace/lunch/ (realize, though,
that it's been edited and converted to mpeg).
