Postfix is easy to set up, easy to maintain, relatively secure, and
faaast.

I used the built in options in Postfix to dramatically cut down on
spam. I don't like to get any more aggressive than that.

RAV

RAV is not free software. The trouble is virus research is expensive,
and getting good virus signatures usually costs money. Getting a
freebie virus scanner is possible, but do you trust the signatures to
be up to date? RAV therefore costs some money, but it's not too
ridiculous a price. It's very very fast. And newer versions also have
anti-spam recipes that you can tweak.

I've set up this combination for customer sites and it works great.
