What is UNIX anyway?

What we call "Unix" (AIX, HP-UX, Tru64, Solaris....) are not consistent with
each other. They all are particular in some way or another.

Then, Linux does not pretend to be Unix. Linux is a Unix-like OS.

But, nevertheless, what has all this to do with redhat-config-network ?

/me is seeing too much discussion of abstract sides just slightly related with
the original question. Maybe it's interesting, but it surely scares the
newcomers with all this percived as fighting for the sex of the angels.

Should we create a trilug-bizantium at trilug.org for all this? I'm kinda not
enjoying all this pointless discussions.
