Well, I discovered the group because I had just installed RedHat 8.0 and
was having some problems getting the video tweaked and the soundcard
working.  Since I had burned a free copy, the only support available on
their support page was to sign up for the Red Install maillist, and they
had a link to "Find User Groups in your local area".  Evidently based on
my registration information, they listed for me the Triangle Linux Users
Group, the NC State Raleigh Linux Users Group, a Triad group, a
Fayetteville group and a Charlotte group.  I just clicked on the link
from there to your webpage for meeting time & place, viola!

So in my case, you can thank Red Hat's user groups listings (filtered by
one's registration info no less).
