Good evening,

This Friday, March 28th, at about 8pm, we will begin some maintenance on
the TriLUG server cluster. Primarily we will be replacing dargo, the
mirror server, to upgrade it to an IBM Netfinity 5500 that has been
recently donated. During the replacement, the mirrors will be
unavailable (including current server and apt for rpm server)

Also, we will be rebooting moya, our primary web, e-mail, and login
server at this time. This is necessary to install an updated kernel,
and possibly to move moya in the rack to accommodate the new server. If
you are currently running a screen session or other connection to moya,
please logout before 8pm on Friday to ensure you don't lose any data
during the reboot. This will affect the mailing lists, web site,
e-mail, DNS, etc, though the outage should be brief.

Tanner or I will post a message to the list when the servers are back
up; however if you need assistance you may join the #trilug IRC channel
(server is irc.trilug.org, or irc.freenode.net). The IRC channel,
since it uses the external Freenode network, will not be affected by the
maintenance[1].

Thanks for your patience, and we're certainly happy to be installing new
hardware!

Jeremy Portzer

[1] Actually, Tribot may go away for a while but many might consider
that a good thing! :-)
