Good luck.  Chances are high that no one will complain, but
if someone does, just realize that as an unlicensed user
you basically have no rights at all. :-(

No, FCC rules are based on Effective Radiated Power which is
a combination of transmitter power and antenna gain.

Yep.  I see people mention all the time about adding better
antennas to their wireless setups and almost universally no
one mentions that this may put them in violation of the FCC
rules.  It seems that most people these days take wireless
for granted and believe they can do anything with it.  Unfortunately,
with the FCC's small budget, I don't see them getting the word
out any time soon. :-(
