I worked as a desktop support technician at a computer store and I was
bale to get some commision off of some sales of sytems and services. I
then worked as a desktop support technician for a University program
then moved into the sysadmin position there. I made the move because I
believed that the position would give me the experience I needed to move
into a higher paying job. Since I have made the move I have taken about
a $8,000 a year pay cut and have doubled the amount of stress I have.
My co-worker has pretty much the same story.

I would like to get out of this career but I am hoping that something
will become of this indutry in the future. I also dont know what other
career I would get into. I would like to get into technical sales, but
i dont know what I would need to do to make the transition. ie. how
would I convince an employer that my technical knowledge could benefit a
career in sales. Or even if that would hold true in sales.
