Swell.  Now I know I configured that mail server with a healthy dose of 
paranoia in my mind.  (Those who work there know what I'm talking 
about.)  I would dare say that it was (at the time) more secure than 
90%+ of the domains that these guys *do* accept mail from.  It sounds 
like you simply got skunked with the legacy of someone else's IP.  I 
don't mind blacklists, personally, but you need to be able to get off 
of them easily for them to be useful.
