well, da boss didn't wanna do anything other than access on this
project. i wrote up a little something to get her started yet would
really like to turn this job over to others due to unreal expectations
of developing an mrp application by next week.

if anybody knows of a canned app that might do the job, i'd like to hear
more about it.

otherwise, it looks like access chucked on a winders box is all that's
gonna happen.

If anyone is interested in a small Access database project, please
contact me off line. I have a client interested in using Access to
report inventory, re-order quantity and usage for around 2000 parts at
the in-house store of a manufacturing plant.

While their may be embelishments in the future, the initial goal is to
replace the clipboard and ball point pen that lists date, item#,
description, quantity and employee# and to calculate inventory (quantity
and value), re-order amounts based on minimum stock value and usage of
parts.

So, who has a little time on their hands and knows Access? I'm talking
about making something happen next Tuesday if possible.

On another note, what canned packages are out there? To be sure,
someone has written a package that does this kind of MRP stuff.

Regards,

Jim
