No, not quite. A 4U, 4-way *capable* G5 IBM server with Linux for only
$3500. $3500 was for the base model, not anything loaded or even
well-optioned.
I've recently had experience with the IBM x345 dual Xeon servers and if
these new 970 based servers are anything like the x345's then these
should be fine boxes.
