Hey kiddies,

I'm on the lookout for any locally-available ATA-100 or ATA-133 IDE
cards which run well with Linux. I've tried the ones at Intrex and Best
Buy with no luck. The CMD680 chip on these boards, while obstensibly
supported by Linux (its listed in the kernel), doesn't seem to work
right. I get a whopping 2 MB/s (yes, two) on what should be a 40 MB/s or
greater connection.

Any tips and clues would be greatly appreciated! For now, though, I
think I'm stuck hunting down another Promise card.

Cheers!
Mark
