Hi Tom,

What do you mean here? I have a Zip drive hooked to my printer port
on my mandrake 9.1 box with no printer attached and it works perfectly
fine.

It's possible that the disks are bad. Might I suggest doing the
following (as root):

urpmi.removemedia -a

Then, go to http://plf.zarb.org/~nanardon/ follow the directions
there, and then copy what it gives you in section 3 to the console as
root. That will setup urpmi to work from a network repository.

After doing that, try running printerdrake again and it should be able
to find the necessary files.

| I stop now. But any advice would be of help. Please send e-mail to
| teajr at yahoo.com <mailto:teajr at yahoo.com>. And thanks in advance. I
| may be there at this coming Thursday meeting?

Please do come to the meeting. It's a good place to meet people
who probably know the answer to any question you might have.
(And, we have free pizza. :-)

Cheers,
Tanner
