if you are authenticating to a domain, the server controls profiles.
so, in user manager for domains or active directory for users and
groups, you specify the profile to be a local path (non roaming).  you
would want to do the same thing with samba.  i dunno the syntax in samba
yet know a registry hack won't be required if, indeed, samba will
emulate a domain controller.  please post your fix, though, because i
can think of lots of folks that could migrate from winders to linux.
