there's a similar program called amavis (actually amavis-new) that does 
the same thing.  judging from the docs, mailscanner was written with 
sendmail in mind, although it will also work with postfix.  amavis-new 
was written with postfix in mind, but will also work with sendmail.  
all hail the choices available with open source!
