nope, it just tosses me back in to dependency heck:

[root at spike stuff]# rpm -Uvh flash-plugin-6.0.79-1.i386.rpm

[root at spike stuff]# rpm -q libstdc++
libstdc++-3.3.2-1

so i guess i'll have to read strongbad's emails some other time.  on the 
other hand, sun's JRE works fine if you use the ns-610-gcc32 version.
