[TriLUG] P2P clients

can anyone recommend a linux P2P client(s) for accessing the various 
file sharing networks out there?  a client of mine asked me about this 
the other day, i'd like to give them a few options.  a google/freshmeat 
search turns up a bunch of hits, but i was hoping to narrow the list 
down to stuff that actually works well from experience, and i have none 
in this area.  and please, no "downloading music is stealing" or "the 
RIAA sucks" comments, i'm well aware of both.
