I'd like to mention that morphix ( knoppix  "from zero to gnu/linux in five
minutes" based ) has a cd distribution that is for running games.

With this distribution, you don't have to install anything -- just
put the cd in and boot.  It is stock full of games, and a
great way to show off linux to gaming friends.

You can install this distribution on your hard drive as well ( it
is based on debian).

This is a great way to show off linux.  Take a cd to your friends,
and if they like it just leave it with them.  They can boot it
and play the games without an involved installation.  If they
like it, maybe they can get involved with linux.
