Only in the purest sense of the way of thinking about it.  Lots of 
things your computer deals with are more than 32bits, just most of the 
internals of the OS aren't, and the registers of the processor aren't 
(for most x86 machines).  It's not uncommon for filesystems to use 
between 44bit and 64bit representations of the data on the physical 
disc, thus allowing you to have rediculously large files (16TB - 
18Exabytes).
