Jeremy's advice is excellent.  I've seen or heard of too many upgrades
that went awry.  If at all possible, start with a fresh slate.  Or even
better, get a replacement machine and install everything on it, copy the
over the data, test it, and then just swap the IPs when you're satisfied
that its ready.
