Hello everyone.

Here are some more details I've worked out since my last email.  The server
runs SCO netware 7.1.  I'm not sure on the version though.   It's a P3 system.
Funny side note, the lady in the office told me it caught fire last year.
I'm guessing it was the presence of SCO. j/k.

The present software is not RPG code.  It's weird.  In browsing
the file tree, I found these files that look exactly like the screens on the
dummy terminals, only done in ASCII.  I assume it's the file it reads from to
decide what to display?  There is a file for each screen shot on the dummy
terminal.  There are also lots of comma delimited files with all the
inventory.  I assume these are the data files.  Have you ever heard of
datafiles stored in comma delimited format? Other than this, there is no more
documentation. It almost seems like they've been limited access to certain
things on purpose. The company won't tell them any details on how the
software is setup.

I'm not sure what your software would do, but the goal is to try and setup an
intranet of sorts with MySQL on the backend and a PHP web front-end.  I want
it to be as user friendly as possible.  The other thing I want is for it to
be easily fixed.  He doesnt' want to be accountable to any company for
support.  He should be able to call any geek and have him fix the
webserver/php coding/network.
