    Yea, that's it - I found a reference to it foe RH 9.0. I just tried:
"setterm -blank 2" and two minutes later (on my stopwatch) it blanked.

    Thanks, it been bugging me for a while, I wonder if its documented 
anywhere (not in "man" but some default document) ?
