am having trouble inserting a sound file into openoffice using plugger.

I am running redhat 9.0 with plugger-5.1.3

I when I insert a sound file using insert object sound, and put the wave
sound in, open office
hangs, like it is trying to play the file, and I get the following
message out of terminal where
open offcie was started

play: too few arguments
Try `play --help' for more information.

ps auxww shows the following info

rcblach 29181 0.2 1.2 20096 4080 pts/2 S 12:43 0:00
pluginapp.bin 27 /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/plugger.so 46142393

rcblach 29191 0.0 0.2 2412 660 pts/2 S 12:43 0:00
plugger-controller play "$file"

I suspect that the play command is not being passed any file.

How do I fix this so that play gets passed a file name
