[TriLUG] dhcp timeout

a handy tip for those folks running linux on a laptop:

if you set the network interface(s) to be dhcp clients (as most people do)
it can take a long time for the startup script to timeout when a dhcp
server is not available. this can be alleviated by adding the line
"DHCP_TIMEOUT=X" where X is the number of seconds before it times out to
/etc/sysconfig/network. worked like a charm on my mandrake 10.1 laptop.
