mplayer plays much of what I throw at it, but it will not play the DRM
protected WM files. I purchased some music online in WM format and the
Linux player would not play them. After googling around for a while the
best I could come up with is nothing, apparently this is something MS
does well as nobody seems to have figured it out yet. (It would
probably be illegal anyway thanks to the DMCA) I ended up using a W98
box to burn what I legally bought to CD then ripped it.

| Usually it wil, but you will need the proper codecs, which are sometimes
| hard to come by. For a Fedora-based system, a good place to start is:
|
| For a Mandrake system, I believe the site is called the "Penguin
| Liberation Front."
|
| The mplayer site may have the codecs too (or links to them).
|
| Hope this helps,
| Jeremy
