[TriLUG] Non-responsive Linux Box

Hi all :)

I have a Redhat 9 box and whatever I click on the
desktop (GUI), like terminal or control center it does
not open.  The drive makes some sounds but thats it. 
What can it be?  It was working great a few days ago. 
Any help would be great! Thanks
