Alan Clegg gave a talk to NCSA (10 Nov 2003) about the reception
you'll get from businesses if you tell them that their networks
are open. You'll be invited into the office, the rep will excuse
himself for a few minutes. You think he's gone to get the owner
to enthusiastically shake your hand for your offers of help,
but he'll return with someone from the FBI who'll handcuff you
on the spot. If you really want to do this for a living, Alan
advises you to first register with the police and the FBI telling
them what you're about to do.
