Really, they're making donations to TriLUG, not buying a CD. Think of 
the CD as a freebie you get with a donation, yet no purchase is 
neccesary. In general, the CDs are donated from a TriLUG member or 
purchased with TriLUG funds (see above about donations).  Besides, as 
Tanner mentioned, they only suggested donations.  TriLUG -has- given CDs 
to people who couldn't afford it.  At the same time, I've seen people 
pay $20 for a Knoppix CD, because it was a donation.
