[TriLUG] Linus

I read the Linus link and I agree completely with what he had to say
about the Linux community. I moved to Raleigh in January from
Birmingham, Alabama, where I had virtually no support (except HIGHLY
paid support) for my Linux systems. When I moved I was looking for
local resources online and found the meetup.com php group. From that
group I believe it was David Rasch that actually told me about Trilug.
I haven't been to any meetings or met anyone yet, but just from being
a member of this list I have learned so much more about Linux than I
could have learned on my own. I've learned a lot just from reading
about other peoples posts. More often than not they may not have
anything to do with my system but I still learn from reading the
problem and solution. Not to mention the few questions that I have
asked have been answered rapidly and thoroughly. As Linus says in the
article, 'Community' is the key to open source and I never really
realized that until I joined this list. Now please excuse me while I
put my pom-poms away. I have work to do.

Regards,
Mark.
