[TriLUG] Image problem

I have run into this before, and resolved the issue when I discovered that
the HTML reference was to <image>.jpg. whilst the filename in the relevant
dir was <image>.JPG (upper-case extension). Could this possibly be your
case, as well?

If it is, don't feel bad, and don't thump yourself too hard... We've all
been there at one time or another.

Subject: [TriLUG] Image problem

I have the most bizarre problems and I was wanting to see if anyone had ever
seen this before...

I have a set of images (image1.jpg, image2.jpg, etc...) that I just created
using Paint Shop Pro. I made a small web page that only had the opening and
closing tags, and in-between was <img src="image1.jpg">, etc... for all 6
images. I viewed the page locally with IE to make sure that it was working
(which it was) and then uploaded the files to my site. The page no longer
shows the images. I made sure that the page and the images are all in the
same directory. I have subbed out other images and it will display them,
but just not these six images in question.

Why will it display the image locally, but not after I upload it?

A few facts to help out...

1. The image and the page are in the same directory.
2. I have the image in .jpg .bmp .gif., none of which will display. 3. Other
jpg's will display merely by changing the name of the image on the page.
(telling me that my script is correct) 4.I have converted all of the images
to gifs and they still won't display. (but other gifs will)

Thanks,
Mark.
