Dear list, I have a software raid1 array setup with n devices, but I'd like to add a device to have n+1 active devices, not n active devices plus 1 spare device. Using mdadm to add the device results in new spare drive. Is it possible to change the number of active raid devices in a raid array? Thanks, Michael
