I find QCad useful. It reads/writes dfx. It's 2d only, which is all I
need. No dwg support (closed, opaque format.) Multi platform. Free as
in beer for all platforms except MS. You can get a free MS version as
well if you compile the source under Windows. Pre-compiled Windows binaries
cost $25.00 and support the project.
