I also have Vonage, just got it in fact, and so far its been great.

My favorite thing has been it emails me voicemails as attachments, so  
I can listen to them wherever, without a phone.

The VoIP adapter I got with the service is also a router, and since I  
didn't want to go messing with all my existing network around the  
house (ok, really, this one room with all the computers), I just  
plugged its wan port, as per the instructions, into one of the ports  
on my router, and its worked like a champ.
