[TriLUG] pc_keyb: controller jammed (0xFF)

Thanks for the quick response to my post! Haven't tried the 4.x series.

Originally, I was attempting to install Fedora on the same system and
couldn't get it installed either. I was finally able to get Fedora Core
v4.1 installed by using the "Unofficial" version that apparently has the
updated drivers that I need. After getting Fedora Core v4.1 installed, I
wasn't able to load my version (v8.1) of DB2 on the server.

My goal in all of this is to get a Linux box up that I can use as an
LDAP server. The LDAP server will be part of an IBM WEA (WebSphere
Everyplace Access) / WECM (WebSphere Everyplace Connection Manager)
environment. Currently we are running ITDS (IBM Tivoli Directory Server
- IBMs LDAP software) on an AIX box. I'm trying to test if I can run
this same software in a Linux environment. We are an IBM shop so I'd
like to get the IBM software installed in a Linux environment.

Am following a couple of IBM developerworks articles for guidance on
doing this:
Installing DB2 Version 8.1 for Linux ->
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-ss3-db2/index.html

Installing the IBM Tivoli Directory Server v5.1 for Linux ->
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-ss3-ids/

These articles suggest installing on Red Hat 7.3 so I was trying to get
a Linux distro similar to Red Hat 7.3. I think I'm running into a
hardware/driver issue on the system I'm installing to.

Have you tried the 4.x series? Lots of new hardware drivers are
available with it.
