I have a couple of things that I do. I generally have a minimum of 2
disks, one for the OS, one for Data. I have a stack of 10GB disks, came
from upgrades to Xboxes, they do this nicely. I either put a 3rd disk
in the system, or use an external USB to IDE case that I have, to put
another disk in and DD to it. This way I can boot Knoppix and DD things
back to the original disk when need arises, data all being on the
"middle" disk, I don't loose anything.
