[TriLUG] What Distro Would You Recommend?

I'm going with CentOS here. The folks who are suggesting Ubuntu for
this person's needs... I'm not so sure and I ask you WHY?? If you
recall, from the original message:
"It has been a long time since I've been able to update the box..."
including other statements he said which kinda takes Ubuntu away from
being a desirable choice. Sure, the release schedule is every 6
months, it has Deb under the hood, but it looks to me like he wants
the box to live long and prosper and not have to touch it all the time
(if at all per his lack of time). Deb stable is probably another
great choice if you like Deb over CentOS. Both of those should
provide you a long, stable and happy distro. Now if you want a
desktop, Ubuntu is the way to go! :)
