Ok, so some of the promise stuff might not be so good.
But, how about my opinion that ALL of the SiL stuff
is junk.  That's probably just as valid as some random
quote on a web page, eh? :-)

Um, hello?  This *IS* linux we're talking about right?
Why in the world are you looking for _binary_ drivers
like that?  Did you even take a look at the web page
I gave you?  That's the OFFICIAL status page of the
in kernel, open source drivers.  That should be considered
the ultimate, FINAL word about SATA support in the
linux kernel.

Supported by who?  A binary driver thrown up on a web
page using an older specific linux distribution or the
actual ones that are supported in kernel.  PLEASE
go look at that web page BEFORE making more comments
like this.  I'll even quote it again so you don't have go
