[TriLUG] Books for Linux+, or should I look at something else to quickly learn linux? Or is Linux+ a waste of time?

Is this LPI option more popular then Linux+?   If I am going to spend the
money/time to certify and take the exams I figured I would get the most
recongnized vendor neutral certificaton to start off with.
