I'll just point out that the operative portion of Joseph's comment was the
'if it's turned off' bit.  There is are varying degrees of truth to that,
depending on the manufacturer, of course, but for the most part, I'd agree
with his statement, so long as the part is turned off, and the liquid
doesn't get into and leave heavy residue on individual contact points.
Currently connected ones might be fine, but I would worry about any contact
points which were not connected at the time of the dunkage.
