[TriLUG] OT: mp3 player

well, lemme go on and ask another stupid question: if i might need a pda 
one day, would i be better off just biting the bullet and getting one 
now to avoid carrying multiple electronic gizmos?  don't pdas generally 
handle mp3 and store files?  i hate to spend $600 yet had rather get the 
right tool for the job.
