HI Greg,

Bill Geschwind may be able to help. He is in the process of moving, so may
be busy, but I'll bet he can answer your questions.

Subject: [TriLUG] OT: any Windows Terminal Server admins out there?

I have a few questions for someone with the above mentioned skills. Being a
Linux list I should probably take these questions off-line. My questions
range from cost related issues to application access and security. In
short, one of the networks I support on the side is having a heck of a time
keeping their machines up to date in terms of security as they do not have a
full-time network and systems admin on premises. I'd prefer to implement a
thin-client approach as moving to another computing platform is out of the
question (read IMPOSSIBLE).

However, if I could have Linux "thin clients" accessing the Terminal Server
over the LAN that would be ok. I have a 100 meg LAN and another gig port
for the future terminal sever so bandwidth isn't a real issue (unless I have
to go to gig as I do NOT have cat 6 run around the place).

Anyway, many questions I have as Yoda would say. Right now I've got to get
Snort running so I can see just how bad things really are the moment (and I
suspect things are *very bad* in terms of PC infections).
