Hello all, thought some people may be interested in this.

Georgetown University is currently looking to higher a developer for  
our Middleware group.  This position is for an intermediate+  
developer.  Here is the description:

This position is responsible for application development in two  
areas;Internet2 Middleware (Shibboleth, Signet, Grouper)and  
computational systems for assisting research, mostly life-sciences  
(MPI/Parrallel code development, grids, bio-statistical analysis).  
This programmer may occasionally be assigned to scholarly systems  
projects (e.g., course management, single sign-on, streaming media,  
etc.) based on available grant funding. This position will gather  
requirements, design, implement and test such projects with an  
emphasis on the use of, and contributing back to, open-source  
components. The position will be responsible for security,  
availability, performance, recoverability, software installation,  
configuration, maintenance, and on-going improvement and technical  
support.

Minimum Requirements: College with 3-5 years experience in: Software  
development with object oriented languages (e.g., Java, C++);  
Software development with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python,  
Ruby); Web application development tools and frameworks (e.g.,  
Tomcat, Struts, Ruby on Rails); Strong verbal and written skills;  
Single sign-on systems; and knowledge of one or more of the following  
disciplines preferred:
a. Bioinformatics b. Biology c. Application/System Security d. Data  
representation, Statistics and numerical methods.

Flexibility to work abnormal schedules.
