[TriLUG] Need Linux solution for Quicken

   What's wrong with GnuCash? I've used it to import accounts from
Wachovia and TDWaterhouse/Ameritrade but not used it for online bill
pay. GnuCash is double-entry accounting though so has a learning
curve. Never used Quicken but GnuCash is fairly identical to using
Quickbooks for accounting from the two businesses I've run in the past
using Quickbooks (ISP with 2000 customers, small computer SW
consultancy). The hard part is always keeping the data updated and
matching what is happening in the business.
   I'd really like to see *very* tight integration of GnuCash and my
online accounts. Hourly downloads and comparisons. Thresholds and
alerts. But I guess that's more than accounting.
