There may be a blacklist file in etc somewhere. On my debian box it's
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.

If you wanna delete the module, it most likely lives under in
/lib/modules/ somewhere; e.g.
/lib/modules/2.6.15-27-k7/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/
